Discovery and Intervention
It was during pastoral outreach activities that members of Passionate Hearts Ministries encountered Shivan and her brother in these challenging circumstances. Recognising the dire situation of the siblings, the organisation intervened decisively. Shivan was welcomed into the care of the ministry, which provided her with a stable home environment and the opportunity to resume her interrupted education.
Educational Progress
Following the intervention by Passionate Hearts Ministries, Shivan was re-enrolled in school and successfully entered Senior Two. Her academic journey continued with remarkable progress, culminating in her final examination during 2024 when she was in her senior year. Demonstrating exceptional academic aptitude, Shivan achieved an impressive score of seventeen points in her final assessments.
Future Aspirations
Having completed her secondary education with commendable results, Shivan now aspires to pursue higher education in Banking and Accounting. This academic year, she intends to matriculate at university to commence her tertiary studies. The financial implications of this endeavour are substantial, with tuition fees amounting to eight hundred dollars per semester at Makerere University Business School, or four hundred and fifty-seven dollars at Kyambogo University.

To facilitate Shivan's continued educational advancement, Passionate Hearts Ministries is appealing to donors and philanthropic individuals to contribute towards her university expenses. Financial assistance is required not only for tuition fees but also for accommodation costs and daily subsistence during her campus residency. Such support would enable Shivan to fulfil her academic potential despite her challenging background.
