Initial Educational Journey
Under the guardianship of her mother's friend, Agathah was afforded the opportunity to commence her formal education. She progressed through primary school, completing six years of education. By the time she reached primary six, Agathah was twelve years old. However, her educational journey was interrupted at this point, and she was unable to continue her schooling, resulting in her dropping out of the education system.
Encounter with Passionate Hearts Ministries
A pivotal moment in Agathah's life occurred during a food distribution initiative conducted by Passionate Hearts Ministries. During this encounter, Agathah shared her personal history and current circumstances with the organisation's representatives, revealing that she had been forced to discontinue her education. Her narrative captured the attention of Pastor Fred from Passionate Hearts Ministries, who recognised the potential to positively impact her future.
Vocational Training
Following their initial meeting, Pastor Fred assumed responsibility for Agathah's welfare and development. Recognising her need for practical skills, he arranged for her to receive training in sewing and tailoring. This vocational education continued for a period of one year, equipping Agathah with valuable skills that could potentially provide her with a means of self-support.
Return to Formal Education
In 2024, Pastor Fred facilitated Agathah's return to formal education, enabling her to resume her academic studies. This intervention allowed her to complete primary seven in the same year, marking a significant educational milestone that had previously seemed unattainable. The successful completion of her primary education represented a remarkable achievement considering her earlier circumstances.
Current Progress
Following her completion of primary education, Agathah has continued to advance academically. She has now successfully transitioned to secondary education, embarking on a new phase in her educational journey. This progression reflects the positive impact of the support and opportunities provided by Passionate Hearts Ministries.
